About This Show

When it comes to unexplained phenomena, it is just that. Unexplained. We try to approach this from as many different ways as possible, and to throw out the assumptions that have driven research for a very long time. These strange experiences people have, no matter what you want to label or catagorize them as, are real in some way. They have been reported throughout history and across cultures. If nothing else, they are a very Human experience. None of the theories we have may even come close to divining what we are actually experiencing, if they did, we would have some answers. We do not know what Reality is, what life or death are, or truly why we are here. We do know that our senses filter much out, and our memories do not work like we think they do. New approaches are needed if we are ever to make any progress at all in understanding what we are interacting with. Some of that comes from understanding ourselves, and some of that comes from having a truly open mind in confronting those things that defy explanation. We need new eyes, perspectives, and better questions. That is the goal of Where Did the Road Go? To go places that have not been tread before, and explore new things from new angles. To leave the well worn road, and wander...

Rick Waid on his Paranormal Journey - November 29, 2014

Download

This week's guest is Rick Waid. Rick's book is My Paranormal Journey, and we discuss the book, and where his journey has led him since.

From his webiste, www.theseerrickwaid.com, "Rick Waid is a seer, remote viewer, and past-life reader. He was born with gifts that he did not realize he had until his late-30s. While Rick’s mother was also a reader, he did not become aware of his talents until he began researching the paranormal field.

Rick Waid began to connect with the other side through electronic voice phenomena, and he started having visions and hearing his spirit guide,” Rick explained. “As his gift progressed, He learned how to remote view and was able to psychically see places he had never been to before.”

As Rick’s gifts progressed, he began to see past lives of individuals. He can also now connect with “the other side” and frequently receives messages from loved ones beyond the veil.

“He wrote My Paranormal Journey: One Man’s Obsession to share with others a compelling passion that ultimately revealed to me gifts he never knew he had,” Rick said. “I hope it will help others realize there are reasons for exploring into new territories and breaking through current boundaries.”

Micah Hanks and Jeremy Lynes on the Bigfoot Phenomenon - November 8, 2014

Download

Micah Hanks joins us again, along with Jeremy Lynes. Jeremy is a proponent of the more paranormal nature of Bigfoot, and has many strange stories to support his view. Micah is more grounded, and believes in a more flesh and blood type explanation. The contrast worked out well I think. They have never spoken before, but seemed to contrast their views nicely. One word of warning, the audio on Jeremy's side is a little muddy. Nothing we could do about it, but it is completely listenable. Enjoy.

John Ward on Ghost Hunting, Occultism, and Aleister Crowley - October 11, 2014

John Ward joins us again, this time to follow up our conversation on the Occult that we started last month when he and Scotty were on. We discuss the recent Paradigm Symposium, Ghost Hunting, Occultism, Symbolism, Aleister Crowley, and more...

Dr. John Ward is an archaeologist and anthropologist residing in Luxor, Egypt. Over the years, Dr. Ward has conducted numerous investigations of ancient Egyptian architecture and symbolism, while also carrying out research into the many mysteries surrounding medieval Templarism. In 2006, Ward was recruited by the Knights Templar of Britannia, which is a modern Templar order affiliated with and has been acknowledged by the Vatican. With the help of his partner, Dr. Maria Nilsson, John has managed to track the use of particular symbols through the various dynasties and the geography of ancient Egypt leading all the way into the present, with similar threads even extending into parts of Western Europe. The symbols that John and Maria have come to recognize play a very important and integral role, based from their studies, regarding ancient Egyptian life. It is through these symbols that they are driven with the passion to continue their work, which has enabled them not only to develop a greater understanding of the various cultures they study, but also to utilize and acknowledge the importance and sanctity of the symbols. These are aspects which, John argues, still remain largely unknown to mainstream academia.

Here is the link to the EVP and Bang John was talking about - https://soundcloud.com/fern-hill-house/18-bang-to-breath. The bang is easy to hear, the breath and "welcome" are a little hard to hear, but if you listen closely, it is very clear.

Roy Davies on The Darwin Conspiracy - October 4, 2014

Roy Davies joins us to talk about his book The Darwin Conspiracy: Origins of a Scientific Crime. Did Charles Darwin really come up with the theory of evolution? Some say he stole the idea from others, but is there proof? And to what degree? Roy Davies does a fantastic job in this book of fleshing out what really happened in those days and revealing who really discovered what. It's a fascinating book, and will be an equaling fascinating conversation!
In nearly 30 years at the BBC, Roy Davies wrote, produced and directed many acclaimed documentaries for the archaeology and history series Chronicle and was for seven years Series Editor of Timewatch. He specialized in ground-breaking investigative and revisionist documentaries which challenged and re-examined popular historical beliefs among which were stories about the discovery of the tomb of Philip of Macedon and the row between Sir Arthur Evans and Professor Alan Wace over the origins of the Minoan civilization in Crete. Roy is also the author of Nautilus: Story of Man under the Sea, and was Executive Producer of the five-part BBC series of the same name which revealed the dangers of submarines since Napoleonic times and stories of the men who served in them. He was with Thor Heyerdahl when he burnt his reed boat off an island in the Red Sea in 1978, produced the programme which covered the raising of the Mary Rose off Southsea Castle in 1982 and covered the trial of O.J. Simpson for the BBC in 1995.
The book is out of print. If you want a copy of it, you can e-mail Roy directly, as he does have some copies left and he is willing to sell them at the original cost of the book. His email is TroyDavies at AOL. You can figure it out from there. If you can't, contact us and we will get you in touch. We will likely also be making the ebook available soon!
