About This Show

When it comes to unexplained phenomena, it is just that. Unexplained. We try to approach this from as many different ways as possible, and to throw out the assumptions that have driven research for a very long time. These strange experiences people have, no matter what you want to label or catagorize them as, are real in some way. They have been reported throughout history and across cultures. If nothing else, they are a very Human experience. None of the theories we have may even come close to divining what we are actually experiencing, if they did, we would have some answers. We do not know what Reality is, what life or death are, or truly why we are here. We do know that our senses filter much out, and our memories do not work like we think they do. New approaches are needed if we are ever to make any progress at all in understanding what we are interacting with. Some of that comes from understanding ourselves, and some of that comes from having a truly open mind in confronting those things that defy explanation. We need new eyes, perspectives, and better questions. That is the goal of Where Did the Road Go? To go places that have not been tread before, and explore new things from new angles. To leave the well worn road, and wander...

Strange Familiars - Episode 28: A Haunted Church

James and Timothy spend the night in a haunted church located in the river town of Columbia, Pennsylvania. Recorders are deployed throughout the church and parsonage with two short but interesting audio clips captured. In the middle of the night, Timothy notices a black object on the floor which has disappeared by morning. Chris Vera tells some of the ghostly encounters he and others have had in the church.

Strange Familiars: Episode 27: Lights in the Woods

Strange FamiliarsTimothy briefly revisits Flannel Man (see episode 26) and reads a new encounter submitted by a listener. Timothy and James K., while sitting in a haunted church in Columbia PA (more on that in a future episode), discuss some very unusual lights seen at Site 7. Then we turn to on-site recordings to hear Timothy, James R., and Jeff visit Site 7 to see and interact with the weird lights. James R. sees a large shadowy figure in the trees. More unusual sounds are heard coming from the trees.

If you haven’t listened to our first two Site 7 episodes you may want to check those out first to get some background on all the strange phenomena associated with the area. See Strange Familiars episodes 19 & 20.

Strange Familiars: Episode 24: Sasquatch and the Faerie Realm

Timothy and Joshua Cutchin discuss a very strange article from Timothy’s latest book,Bigfoot: West Coast Wild Men. Joshua has made many observations in the past linking different modern paranormal phenomena with folkloric accounts of Celtic faerie encounters. This particular article, dating from 1857, contains a vast amount of elements which seem to link this bigfoot abduction with faerie lore.
